Full Time Optician Monday-Thursday

Fun and friendly private practice seeking rock-star opticians! We're a high-end growing practice located in Scottsdale Arizona.

>90% of your role will be Optical, but our office believes in cross training and everyone pitches in where they're needed most. We're open M-Th 7:30-6:00, open only one Saturday a month where we rotate staff for coverage. Beside that, you will usually have 3 three day weekend!

Optical experience and comfort with sales are strongly preferred. Exceptional customer service is a must! We're looking for an optician who can be trusted to work independently and take ownership of their role. Salary starts at $16/hr plus health and dental, but will increase for more experienced applicants.

Job duties include (but not limited to):

Likes to Sell!

Knowledge of contact lenses and the ability to teach insertion and removal

Knowledge of basic optical principals

Excellent customer service skills/Sales skills

Professional appearance

Ability to excel within a team environment

Ability to troubleshoot, adjust and repair eye wear

Computer skills

Familiar with optical insurance plans including VSP, Eyemed and Spectera

Understanding of lens types, materials and coatings

Lensometry skills

Basic frame repair, maintenance and adjustments

Understanding of vision and medical insurances

Answering phones

Insurance authorization and verification

We are seeking an experienced team player with exceptional customer service skills and a strong work ethic. Someone who is responsible, a self starter, and dependable. Since we are a busy, private practice, experience is required. Excellent computer skills, great attention to detail and superior customer service are necessary to provide exceptional eye care for our patients.
